I can backup and restore from any of the media I use which is Internal Hard Drives, External Hard Drives using either USB2.0 or Firewire 400, Internal CD, external CD or DVD using USB 2.0 or Firewire 400.Īlso, I can boot from my Ghost 2003 Boot Disk or using my created Ghost 2003 Boot CD. I'm very leery of doing cloning and restoring to a single disk-I always go from one disk to a 2nd disk. But it offered to do a sector by sector copy. Ghost immediatly reported that the source drive had errors. The clone booted up once and seemed to work, but after a reboot, it died and refused to function. I also had one instance where I used True Image to clone a hard disk (from a hard disk that was exihbiting errors) to a new disk. Note that Acronis has a fully functional trial mode, so you can do the backup-and-restore during the free trial. I've used Acronis True Image to backup and restore two machines.
